Measuring Your Feet For The Perfect Athletic Shoe
When it comes to finding the perfect pair of shoes, getting the right fit is essential. Unfortunately, far too many people don't take the time to properly measure their feet, resulting in a poor fit and an uncomfortable pair of shoes.
Before you start, get everything you need. Find a pen and some paper, as well as a ruler or measuring tape with cm. and in. measurements on it.
Put on the socks you plan on wearing with your shoes. It’s also recommended to wait until the end of the day, when your foot is at its widest point.
1. Take your paper and place one end against the wall. Then, use tape to adhere the paper to the floor. Be sure to tape the paper down so it doesn't slip. This way, you'll be able to get an accurate measurement.
2. Position yourself so that one foot is on the paper and your heel is against the wall.
3. Keep the pencil upright as you trace the outline of your foot. Follow the natural contours of your foot to create an accurate outline.
4. Using your ruler, measure the longest part, as well as the widest part of your foot outline. Write down these measurements.
5. Repeat steps 1-4 with your other foot.
Using the measurements you recorded, you should now be able to find your size of shoe on our sizing charts. Make sure to use the correct chart for the brand of shoe you're looking for.
Measuring your feet may seem like a tedious task, but it's essential if you want to get a perfect fit. By taking a few minutes to measure your feet accurately, you'll be able to find shoes that are both comfortable and stylish.
